Mozzarella in carrozza

One time in the kitchen we are not busy one of the chef made a very easy but tasty delicious "Mozzarella in carrozza" Mozzarella in a carriage or in Tagalog Mozzarella sa kalesa.


White bread -  2 pcs any tasty bread or slice bread.
Egg yolk - 1 whole beat egg is okay.
Anchovies -3 pcs anchovies, dried fish is okay just take the bones out.
Mozzarella - mozzarella for pizza is good, any form of mozzarella is okay just cut it to fit in the bread.
Bread crumbs - Any form of breads crumbs is okay.
Flour -  not so important but it helps.

1. Take two pieces of white bread and cut the sides.
2. In one bread spread a little egg yolk or water on the top. (to stick the other bread)
3. Put 2 to 4 pieces of anchovies and some mozzarella.

4. Cover it with the other slice of bread.
5. Hand press it a bit to keep intact.
6. Spray it with some flour.
7. Cover it with egg yolk.
8. Cover it with bread crumbs.

9. Deep fry.


The good thing about Mozzarella in carrozza is you can keep it in the freezer just like a French fries and deep fry it when you want it.
